by the way, you can have both versions installed at the same time. During the install for the beta, add "\beta" to the install directory. For the production, just remove the "\beta".. (without the quotes). Both versions use the same DB folder, so they both work..

There is then still the question of multiple versions of the VSTs though, right?
I do recall this being discussed in the past. I can search for it.

All that info is in the DB folder.. both versions use that folder. so, no, no conflicts..

I can choose in the installer where to put the RC plug-ins, but those plug-ins have the same name whether they are production or beta versions, yes?
If so, and if I am deploying them to "wherever my plug-ins live" then whichever I have installed last is what is active on my system, plug-in wise.
Thus it seems RC-suite (incl. plugs) PROD and RC-suite BETA (incl. plugs) are not truly installable side-by-side and accessible by choice at runtime, right?

No, those plugins are not capable of being side by side.. You weren't clear on what plugs in your were talking about, so I thought you were talking about music VST's.. sorry..
They is no real easy way for Atilla to flag the RC VST as beta or not, so, what ever is installed last is the VST used.
What I do is, I check click to install the production VST, but, don't check click the beta VST. (unless I need to test something, then I reverse the install order)

Hi Attila . So what's new now? 4.3.3 or 4.4b4 ? )) And, by the way, it seems to me that an update with phrase controllers was planned back in 4.2 ? Thank you.

Hi lulukom,
at the moment v4.3.3 is the latest one with all fixes until today.
However today I built v4.4b5 which I'll upload in a few hours.
Yes, the phrase controllers should have been already implemented, according to my earlier promise. They are a bit delayed, sorry about it.
Thanks,
Attila

Does this have the midi manipulator by any chance?

RapidComposer v4.4b5 is available!
Mainly internal changes, optimizations after profiling and a splash screen in this update. Bigger improvements will arrive shortly.

ok, yea, so, I must be losing my mind.. My copy dated the 18th, Friday, and you posted this today, the 22nd.. I swear I don't remember downloading this, and how did I get it.. lol
So, just in case, did anything change between Friday and today? I can just re-install it..
Also, Atilla, you PM's are building up.. You should start reading..

magmagwa helped me a lot to track down a few serious and less serious bugs, so on Monday v4.3.3 will be announced. After that I can start working on a new tab in RapidComposer, the MIDI Manipulator, which helps to get new fresh ideas from an existing MIDI file by modifying the rhythm/voicing/notes/chords (destructively), selecting 'good' notes while regenerating the rest, etc.
Thanks,
Attila
Does anybody know what's happening with this MIDI manipulator.?

I may be wrong, but I think that this is still in the plans and in reality does not yet exist. And I'm really looking forward to seeing this too !
