David@TOYBOX wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 4:31 pm Here's a new cheatsheet showing a patch that captures the input of the rack into a buffer, and then re-synthesizes it using the Nano Pack 'Additive Oscillator'.

You can download the patch here (requires the full Nano Pack):

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/13949/

when trying to download, a 404 error, zip not found... and yes finally the special stuff: additive!! (and spectral... will come.. i assume..). this will help a lot to get the basics, and use them to build additive wonders. me like additive..
I just re-uploaded it and seems to be working now, so try again!
works! thanx!

EDIT: great patch, indeed shows the great possibilities. thanx again!
Great! :)

Hi Guys! I hope you are having a great Christmas holiday! below is another cheatsheet showing how to build a simple drum rack with kick, snare and percussion sounds, using the Toybox Nano Pack.

You can download the patch here (requires the full Nano Pack) -->

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/13959/

If you don't have the Nano Pack you can download the free Nano Pack Community Edition, available on the site (we are also currently running a Boxing Day sale with 30% off all packs and bundles) -->

Here's a free block you can use to 'roll your own' Nano block:

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/13961/

An example block: 'Nano FM Synth' is included.

How to build your own custom block:

1. Open the ‘Nano Container’ block in ‘Ensemble Mode’ (full Reaktor 6.4 required).
2. Open the block by double clicking its icon in the structure view.
3. Build a rack for your custom block inside the ‘Nano Container’, using any other blocks (for example from the free 'Nano Pack Community Edition)'.
4. Connect the ‘Input’, ‘Output’, and ‘Knob’ ports to various place in your rack.
5. Delete any unused ports.
6. Label the knobs by dragging up and down in the area under the knobs.
7. Rename the ‘Nano Container’ block and save it as a new instrument in your ‘User Blocks’ folder. Your block is now ready to use in your own racks.

Been looking to jump into modular, and this just looks like too much fun to pass up! What is the best bang for my buck as far as packs go? Probably the nano-pack right, since it comes with so many modules... What do you guys think?

the nano-pack has a lot, and that is an understatement. but for jumping into modular? o, why not.
do you have the full reaktor, or the reaktor player?
the nano-pack is a great pack. for sure. the many modules; that is a plus; but all modules are meant to be combined, so the DWG oscilator, that comes with reaktor full, for instance, is a ready to go module, almost..
but if you have the full reaktor, you already, have more accessible modules.

and the nano-pack modules are also accessible, by the sheets and racks/examples david makes.

the nano-pack gives you access to a grate array of synthesis, filtering, modulation, etc.

Here's a new free 'Nano Block' -->

Wavetable Synth - a synth block based on the Nano Pack Wavetable Oscillator, download it here:

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/13973/

You can add your own wavetables by using the Sample Map Editor (small waveform button at the top of the Reaktor window).

The block was built using the 'Container' block --> https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/13961/

So you can open it in Ensemble view to view and edit the rack / blocks that it uses.

We just posted a new free 'Nano Block' -->

Snare Synth 2—A 'Nano Pack' synth block for creating snare sounds, download it here:

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/14093/

The block was built using the Container Block so you can easily modify it by opening it in 'ensemble view' to edit the rack / blocks that it uses.

You can download the free Container Block here:

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/13961/

I just uploaded a free Nano Block -->

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/14259/

A lofi wavetable oscillator with built-in wavetables. The block emulates the sound of an oscillator chip from an 80s digital keyboard. There are additional ports available from the structure view to control the simulated clock rate and jitter.

Great thank you!
Stuck in Aperture Laboratories for a 2nd time!

Just updated the lofi wavetable oscillator, added a 'Pitch To Rate' port (available from the structure view), to control the frequency of the simulated audio clock using a pitch signal. This block is really fun, you can get some great, gritty 'chip' tones from it!
