Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Well that would have been ok. He just shouldn't have done it for twenty minutes straight!

What's wrong with the guy, I heard he used to practice 10 hours a day, he should be able to hold a difficult chord for at least one hour. Bloody amateur.mumpcake wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 10:03 amhttps://www.musicradar.com/news/steve-v ... 20-minutes

Have you read the full article, Henry?
He was doing something he was not used to doing: playing the acoustical guitar, which was more difficult than he thought. He's used to endure pain, but now failed to respond to complaints of his body when the body says enough is enough. That's what happens when there's no teacher around to correct a wrong posture.
I heard some of his tracks he recorded after meditating and not eating for several days, to get in the right mood for that solo.
On a side note, he developed a trigger finger. That usually goes away with enough rest. Him needing surgery says enough about how bad the injury was.
Another side story: after breaking the pinky of my left hand (stupid bike riding accident) that tendon developed Dupuytren's syndrome. After two operations (cut in the hand of 5 cm, removing connective tissue) the doctors and I gave up. My left pink cannot be stretched further than an arc of 45 degrees. No issues in playing the guitar, but stretching span is limited. No more stretched-9 chords like in "Every Breath You Take" by the Police (at least: without cheating). Oh, too bad...
