Thank you! Pitch bend only works correctly in the sawtooth mode, the rest of the modes seems to barely support it. Bowed string timbre control is quite a bit extreme, basically it has only two states sound and no sound, with a little bit of transition. On the other side pithed bar is only barely affected by timbre. Anyway it is definetely good direction.cjwseven7 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 3:53 pmHey, so, there is a new version of the beta, with tweaks, and MPE compatibility ... you can get it here

Cool, thanks for the feedback! Yea, it's difficult to do extended pitch variation with this physical model, because it is running an actual finite difference scheme ... You can go two semitones up and two semitones down on a string/bar, but beyond that the scheme would sound terrible. That does not apply to the sawtooth which can be generated with a continuously varying pitch effortlessly. We'll do a few more tweaks anyway ...JazJazgot wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 9:02 pmThank you! Installed macPOS 10 version. 2010 mac pro macPOS 10.13 Reaper 6 - DerailerAU crashes Reaper on instantiation. Thanks for dropping the price to something more reasonable. 160 GPB was a bit much.

Hey, yea, there is no compatibility for pre-2013 mac pros (there should be a note about that above the download link in the pdf I think). The AVX stuff will crash the daw.

This is interesting, as in the real world we control pitch with physical properties which should have a counter part in the model. Pitch bend of a string has two different possibilities, either I bend a string like guitar players do, there its limited, though the model could prevent the breaking of the string. Or I change the length of the string like string players do, there its unlimited. I should be able to choose between these two bending modes. I suggest the for pitch bend by tension control to keep the range of 48 but limit it internally to 2 at the distance you would reach if it could do the full bend... I guess it needs good explanations in the manual...JazJazgot wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 9:02 pm Pitch bend only works correctly in the sawtooth mode, the rest of the modes seems to barely support it. It would be interesting to get both, control the length with glide and tension with pressure...

How does the new beta version relate to the current version that is available for purchase of the website?
Also, if you own the current version, what is the upgrade path to the new beta?

Probably not for this release, but most likely in future updates ...muki wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 2:25 am while we're at it:

This looks way cool. Thank you.
