What's the best MPE controller for non keyboardists and/or those looking to interact with different interfaces? :hyper:

Post

LinnStrument without doubt. I tried all...
But there is a new kid on the block comming soon:
https://www.embodme.com/
Could be an alternative... I ordered one...

Nice, that's the one I was leaning towards! Should I go for the 128 or the other one you think?

I have the 128... I plan to get the big one too. I got the 128 cause it travels easily. It fits in a backpack and easily in a carry on bag on an airplane.

If you just want it in your studio, get the big one.

I was a bit disappointed that this controller doesn't do Timbre... no Y axis.

so linnstrument it is then?

I'm hoping with ableton finally supporting MPE we'll see some progress on the controller front.

someone on another forum is very interested in this controller, i never noticed it, no Timbre.

but they have picture with X Y Z, but scrolling down, you don't see 'slide', only aftertouch, velocity, lift, and polyportamento..

a bit confusing. or???

Linnstrument vote for me too, but my Seaboard Rise 49 is a close second.

Linnstrument 200 in first place followed by Roli blocks in second place. I have a Sensel morph as well but it’s a distant third place.
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.

Played (and currently own) Roli Rise 49, also played (but don't own) LinnStrument 200 and Continuum. Continuum without a doubt feels absolutely the best and most responsive to touch. Linnstrument has limited Y axis movement which is something I don't appreciate, but is overall a very well executed idea.

Also, I have Osmose on early bird preorder. That one also seems very promising.

The website does not list Y axis as a capability... it is missing. And none of the videos show Y axis. So how do you know it will have Y axis? And why doesn't it have it as an integral part of it right from the start?
