Looking for advise: most transparent, cleanest way to change samplerate, bit-depth, stereo2mono, etc. ?

I got an Polyend Tracker and since this piece of gear reads a certain type of wav file only I'm now faced with the need of samplerate, bit-depth, stereo2mono conversion.
I have Ableton Live, Wavosaur, Ocenaudio. Are those tools suitable for transparent/clean conversion? If so, what would be the workflow? Or should I look out for other software?
Thanks y'all

For sample rate and bit-depth conversion, take a look at the free Voxengo r8brain:

izotope RX has very good sample rate conversion. Not sure if the «elements» version can do it, but would assume it does. RX (at least the Standard version that I have) also has batch processing, so it can apply the same process to as many files as you want, automatically.
Then there’s Audacity if you’re on Mac. Freeware audio editor with lots of functionality.
Voxengo is a good shout too, great plugins.
