Bootsy is apparently working on a follow-up to epicVerb.

epicPLATE delivers an authentic recreation of classic plate reverberation. It covers the fast and consistent reverb build up as well as that distinct tonality the plate reverb is known for and still so much beloved today. Its unique reverb diffusion makes it a perfect companion for all kinds of delay effects and a perfect fit not only for vocals and drums.
• Authentic recreation of classic plate reverberation.
• True stereo reverb processing.
• Dedicated amplifier stage to glue dry/wet blends together.
• Lightweight state-of-the-art digital signal processing.
Available for Windows VST in 32 and 64bit as freeware.

Jesus, that really sounds great! loving it a lot, so easy to dial in - just sits in the mix like it should, without much tweaking. Whenever plate is needed, seems like it will be my go to. Need to spend some more time with it, but its gonna be a serious competition to the big boys

It sounds awesome in different kind of tracks, and it's simple enough to use.

I'm normally not a fan of VOS plugins (yes that will get me flamed to a cinder) but epicPlate is a nice surprise as I had expected to delete it as quickly as other VOS plugins.
I put it on an acoustic drum track then compared it to other plate reverbs in my folder and epicPlate not only held its own against all others but exceeded the sound of Arturia's plate by a mile.
EpicVerb imparts a nice character and attitude to drum tracks although I haven't tested it on other material yet. I'm generally not a huge fan of plate reverbs put this one is certainly worth keeping around for special occasions.
Thanks to VOS for setting it free.....
