Hello there,

what do you think about the physical modeling of Arturia Stage 73 piano vs AAS EP-4 Lounge Lizard thing? Other choices? For pure sound, would you prefer a sampled one like Native Instruments Scarbee Mark One, xlnAudio Mark One or an UVI variant (don't remember the exact name, in their comprehensive keys collection I think they have more than one;))?

Is Arturia Stage 73 V2 more detailed and responsive than the 1st version? Bought V Collection 6 and thinking about upgrading on that one.

Thanks for your help...

My order of preference for Electric pianos:
1. Modartt
2. AAS (even though I don't currently own.)
3. Arturia
(And to be fair, Arturia is only in context to layering within ALV or V Collection.)

Sorry Modartt I forgot, on my list for sure... I know them for their great acoustic piano modulations. Didn't know their electrics are as great.

Try the demo of Stage-73 V2. Much better than V1. Check out the advanced features for various models.

How do the Sampleson plugins compare? I think they sound good, especially for the size of the plugins.
i9-10900K | 128GB DDR4 | RTX 3090 | Arturia AudioFuse/KeyLab mkII/SparkLE | PreSonus ATOM/ATOM SQ | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Reaper | Renoise | FL Studio | ~900 VSTs | 300+ REs

Similar big difference than for the B-3 V2 organ?

Never tried an Arturia demo - full functions with time limit I think?

AcousticSamples VTines sounds incredible. It's a combination of sampling and modeling. Their VReeds (Wurli) is great too. I've got an actual Rhodes Mark 1 and Wurlitzer 200 (recently restored by VintageVibe), and don't find the VTines/VReeds combo lacking against the hardware. The nice thing for that extra realism is that you can adjust various parameters for each note and/or create variation. When you've got a real keyboard in front of you, even one that's well serviced, there may be some notes that bark more than others or are slightly off in other ways (tuning, where exactly the hammer hits on the tine/reeds, relation to pickup, etc.). VReeds and VTines allow you to make little adjustments like that per note.

It stops after 20 minutes. Then load it again and demo some more.

Same story for the B-3.

Fine, I'm excited;)

I know arturia making sometimes special offers during the year (summer?), do they apply to single instrument updates too? usual price would be 29 euro...

They had such a sale in February. That's when I upgraded Stage-73 for only €14.

For the record, I don't think highly of the Arturia one at all. V2 was a big bimprovement over the original but still not realistic enough for me.
