I've ended up giving this three votes in the DC, after GR-8 and Whispair. It can certainly be made to sound good but, while GR-8 is a lot less versatile, it sounds at least as good with a lot less effort and there is something about its sound that just works for me. All three, though, are terrific synth and I'll be keeping all three installed on my system. (Nothing else from the DC will.)

I like this synth, easy to use, the controls are easy to work through, very light CPU and has a lush delay function, my only complaint is the reverb, very metallic , and that is too harsh for me, but the delay , as I said, is nice and easy to get right.

Of course, can't resist making a supersaw, and it stands up well on this.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

Is there any way to get more presets. That's whats keeping me from voting on it, it looks half done. The included presets don't even touch the depths of what it can do, especially the filters and overdrive.

Thank you Lord, as small and ditsy a Lord as you are.

I found an issue. When I map my controller (cutoff, reso, lfo...) and save the init preset to make it working on presets...it works on all presets except for seq presets.

Yes, as mentioned earlier in this thread MIDI controllers don't currently work with the sequencer; this will be available in the next release, as soon as the DC is over.

Do you mean also filters, lfo, env or just sequencer controls ?...

I mean notes generated by the sequencer will not receive MIDI controller messages so pitch bend, mod wheel, MIDI learn, etc will not work. Notes played directly will respond to MIDI controllers as normal. Again, this is just temporary, the next update will add MIDI control to sequenced notes.

Reducktion has been updated to version 1.0.0.4

This includes the following changes:
  • New filter routing modes: parallel and split.
  • New GUI sizes at 125% and 175%.
  • New modulation sources: Alternate, Bipolar Random, Mod CC, Note Off Vel, Expression (CC11) and Brightness (CC74).
  • New modulation targets for oscillator FM mode, envelopes and combined oscillators.
  • New LFO types: Random Glide and Random Pulse.
  • The sequencer now recognises controller CC and MIDI learn messages.
  • Envelope attack, decay and release times now start at 0.
  • Unison numbering has changed and now indicates total number of oscillators.
  • Even-numbered unison settings are now better balanced in the stereo field.
  • Envelope and LFO context menus have 'Move to Matrix' helpers.
  • Glide can be legato-only or all notes.
  • Mono mode has legato and retrigger options.
  • Themes reorganised: the old 'Minimal' theme is now the default and old default is now available under the name 'Redwood'.
Breaking changes:
  • Envelope scales have changed slightly due to minimum values being reduced to 0.
  • Unison may sound slightly different when total number of oscillators is an even number.
  • Size may need to be reselected if 150% and 200% scales were in use.
  • Themes based on the previous default will need to be reassembled from the new Redwood theme.

hi swatwork,
thanks for the new update - you covered _everything_ i mentioned. wow. thanks a lot... :tu:
however - in mono legato modes the envelopes must not retrigger when notes are overlapping (i.e. actually played legato - either by playing the midikeyboard, playing notes from host or the internal sequencers, if note lengths are set to 100)...
