Generation Elec Gtr - trigger slide down on end of note?

Hi,

I wonder how to properly go about creating slide-downs at the end of notes. I notice that the keyswitches don't affect notes that are already playing, so I can't just press the slide-down keyswitch to get an ongoing note to slide down.

Just tried creating a separate track with just the slide, and then bounced that out and cut off the attack of the note. It's a workaround, but I'm hoping there's a better way.
