The title is already good and promising: One's Own
Self-Deception! I think we all do that every day.
The song is carried somewhat darkly psychedelic
and therefore rather serious. The strangest
associations then float in - very nice! Mix and
sound are well chosen and very pleasant. All in
all: A great experience!

The way you build up the track slowly is great. I really enjoyed the way the track evolves over time, it's all about the journey. The destination is pretty good too though; the climax is powerful. Yet paradoxically, I almost didn't realise we'd reached it, because the approach is rather subtle. I was so absorbed in the journey that I lost track of where we were. It's only when I consciously looked at where we were that I realised how far we had come.
That's a nice trick

The kick stomping in at 0:48 is AMAZING! The bodily sound contrasts and compliments really well to the airy heavenly texture. It's been a very deep and enjoyable moment here.
Speaking of texture, I also love the outro a lot.
I only wished 2:24-2:55 would employ a variation of the beats. I was expecting something new after the transition at 2:24.

Niiiice. Stuff like this is always hard to do because it's about the pacing and restraint, and you've pulled it off (ooeeerrr missus) well here.
Always get a bit of an early New Order feel from your stuff not so much in terms of the sounds, but the construction and chords etc, which is good!

really nice track, with a slow build up. sound qualitiy seems good to me.
it is better to have a track with some mistakes than a track without any soul

You've created a great atmosphere on here. I liked the kick/snare combo. They had a full sound without overpowering the synths/samples. Good sound choices, and the build-up was excellent.
Good work

Yesss Thank you for stopping by man. Really glad you enjoyed it. New Order, now there's a compliment.donkey tugger wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 5:04 pm Niiiice. Stuff like this is always hard to do because it's about the pacing and restraint, and you've pulled it off (ooeeerrr missus) well here.
