So offering a version where few people who's plan has run out is still better than offering no update as at least some people update.
That's not strictly correct. In order to take advantage of recent U-He cross-deal you had to register the upgrade plan, either renewing the plan that already expired or extending one that didn't expired yet.

Sure, that sweetens the deal a bit, but still I'd rather get proper DAW upgrade.

And that will probably be pretty much it until the summer...

MIDI output is now directly available is useful, nothing else I want so will be skipping this one, but I hope the bug fixes make it to V4.

Wow, that's really all there was. It seems that Bitwig don't listen to their user base.

You know, I was watching both videos and smiling all the time thinking about the possibilities.

I "just" need to change the goddamn style of the music I make :dog:

Being able to automate most of those devices' parameters is great

It seems they listen to Dave, at least.
All of this looks like something he'd love:

I thought he was employed by BW?

It really looks like it is missing the 'big feature(s)' just before the fun little add ins...it looks a little weak compared to past releases.

I suspect they felt some pressure to put something out before Xmas or there would only have been 1 release this year.

I wasn't expecting to have to login to my account again, so soon after PhoneHomeGate. This is made much more annoying that it needs to be because the Bitwig installer stops me pasting in the password from my password manager. Manually copying 23 randomly generated characters and symbols is no joke 😡
