About the sound:
Yes, it sounds over-compressed... As the bpm is slow, there's a wish to hear more dynamics...
Also it feels like the highs would have more air, and so are the mids
The pluck that comes around 2:55 improves the situation, but it wants to have more room in the mix )
Guitars wish to have more body, seems like the noisy distortion ate all of it )
About the arrangement:
It sounds like an looong intro, when you expect smth bigger, but it doesn't happen
In the very beginning there's a typical industrial midbass with nona interval (or alike), but it sounds so quiet that like it's almost doesn't exist
Also something tonal wants to be here - not obligatory some extra melodic line, but some background mid-hi pulsating sine or smth alike will be a good contrast to the noise.
Anyway, the basis of the track is nice,
great job is done
