This is my second track produced in MuLab. It took me about 4 months to complete, although I probably spent approx. 24 hours working on the piece during that time. This was originally supposed to be another of those Berlin-school influenced pieces, but I just couldn't make things work out. Once I had ditched the sequenced arps, and re-thought the structure of the piece, things started to come together quite quickly.

This is a predominantly gloomy piece which seems to sum-up how I feel about international affairs during the last 30 months.

The track sounds well orchestrated. The melodies are somber but pleasing, and there are nice harmonies. I liked it. Thanks for the device list.

The arrangement and gloomy vibe works well together. It's really easy to get wrapped up in creating this type of music so I'm not really surprised how much time you put into this. I'll have to give this another listen later when I'm not on a laptop.

Thanks very much for taking the time to listen and comment, margaret. Glad you liked it :)

I had to be a little careful with some of the harmonies. Some of the patches featured varying degrees of pitch variation, but everything worked itself out in the end.

Great sound design. I love how some of those sounds just vibrate at the edges. Fantastic space as well. Those reverbs are super lush. I haven't heard of 2CAudio before, but I'll have to check them out.
When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

Wow, that's a long time. I could never work on a single piece that long! But it sounds ace. If you hadn't mentioned international affairs yourself, I'd probably make that connection anyway. Maybe the mix balance could be a bit brighter. It sounds a bit distant now... although that works well with the vibe here too, so I don't know.

I did a thing with a similar inspiration, different sound though.

Well done soundtrack. Good stucture and sound assortment. Great job on mix/master. 👍

Once I had ditched the "Berlin-School" sequenced section, progress was quite rapid. The music you can hear here probably took me about 12 hours to assemble.

Very interesting piece.
Full of emotional depth, both complex and unpredictable.
There is an honesty to the emotion that his hard to achieve as a musician.
I really like how it evolves into a more melodic, and evolution of the overall feeling.
One note, the lead melodic line in the last part gets a bit loud and bright.
Very well done!

Very spacious orchestral starting song. It would probably fit into a science
fiction or fantasy film. The doomy sounds make everything even more
interesting.

Where does the name Celadon come from? The song has something mysterious,
something profound. It could also be called "Sunrise on Ganymede".

Great song, I enjoyed it! :tu:

Most of the "weird" sounds are Absynth factory patches, some of them with very minor mods. The wavering string sound was MTron-Pro. I love the 2C reverbs. Until a couple of years ago, I was using a 32-bit DAW, whose memory limitations meant that I had to use them quite judiciously. Now I am using MuLab, I can be a little more extravagant :D

B2 and Aether are great reverbs, especially if you like those LARGE spaces.

We still have to negotiate Walpurgis Night safely. 6 months before Halloween. I may even be able to find time to watch an old Dennis Wheatley film :)

Fantastic sound design and engaging composition. I've listened to this a few times over the last couple days while working but just gave it my full attention today. I really like how the back ground drones and meanders as details kinda lunge into the foreground. Well done.
Thanks for sharing!

4 months is a long time, but I worked on 4 or 5 other tracks during that time, so I had other things to distract me :) I tend to go for a less lively, bright sound when I make these slow, atmospheric things, so the "distant" quality was intentional.

Thanks very much for listening, lwj. Glad you liked it :)
