Studio One 6.0 is quite surprisingly not far off from dropping.... a few months maybe... What do you think will be of significance in this update ?

Some wishlist myself.
1. default or switchable true stereo panning instead of requiring a plugin insert
2. more metering options such as allowing the user to set reference level on track meter not just master bus and allowing the user to set the maximum clip indicator at 24bit 0dBFS on tracks instead of the internal processing scale.
3. revamp effect send panning display. The current one is borderline invisible and very hard to adjust precisely.
4. MUCH more colours to choose from for tracks/bus labeling better yet, give us color wheel and let us choose and save our own custom color
5. give us a track/bus custom icon
6. don't give us any Fender gimmicks.

Color Toolbar is easy to install, integrates seamlessly and has tons of features.

Yep, I use it. However it’s not available throughout Studio One. For instance, you cannot choose your own custom colours for kit pieces in the drum editor.Crossinger wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 11:07 pmColor Toolbar is easy to install, integrates seamlessly and has tons of features.

You are right. But then Presonus must deliver *more* than Color Toolbar already provides - and many people suspect that Presonus simply "buys" and integrates Color Toolbar to end the discussion.jamcat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 11:24 pmYep, I use it. I honestly can’t think of anything I need! Better performance maybe?
PC + S49, Studio One, BWS, Live (+PUSH2), FL Studio, Renoise, Reason, X32 Desk, Hardware Synths (Summit, Hydrasynth, Pro 3, P8), A4 + RYTM, MPC Live, Poly Tracker, Eurorack + OXI One, TD27 V Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and Pedals (Zoia, Beebo)

A couple things I’d like to see:
Reassign automation destination to new parameters. Let’s say you automate a resonance knob on your Moog clone. But then you swap it out for a different Moog clone. Your resonance knob automation now goes to nothing and if you want to use that automation data for the resonance knob of your new synth, you have to copy & paste it to the new synth’s resonance automation lane. And you have to do that in each MIDI part.
It would be far better if you could just select a new destination for your existing automation.
It would also be cool if there was further Mix Engine FX integration that replaced the mixer channels with modeled channel strips.

It will have a 6 instead of a 5 and people will pay money to upgrade to the latest wizz bang version...
That cash flow will be of significance to Presonus and the parent company with the Big F will give them a big hug and a thousand kisses

No auto tune...

Well, some people take it like a subscription. A friend of mine uses Cubase since the very beginning and always buys the latest update without asking questions. He usually does call it "Steinberg tax".digitalboytn wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 11:56 pm It will have a 6 instead of a 5 and people will pay money to upgrade to the latest wizz bang version...

My only wish - separate punch in/out markers so you can loop record with a pre-roll:

You've just been INTRANCER'd. In a few months, this thread will be redesigned, to become THE Studio One 6 thread. The one to rule them all. To bind them. Etc.
There'll also be an epic first post, with all the information you'll never need, which is almost as long as War & Peace. And almost as thrilling.

1. Normal grid over events visuals. Like in Cubase.
2. Macro controls automation. Without this macro controls are useless.
3. Automation in events. (Like region automation in logic)
4. Some form of modulation. (Like in Bitwig)
5. Dynamic eq.
