What's especially annoying about this current sale on Modo Bass 2 is that the upgrade price is the same as the sale price, AFAICT. On top of that, Modo Bass 2 supports Apple Silicon natively but Modo Bass 1 doesn't, and most likely never will.

I own MB 1. I downloaded 2 and it works but locks me out of the MB 2 basses. It only gives me access to MB 1 basses. Should this not allow a MB 1 owner to use the latest framework including Apple Sillycon?

I am with you on the current pricing. Often with IK, waiting results in a better price and sometimes a no brainer. It would be nice to have the MB 2 basses but not for $100.

Has anyone else experienced this bug where MODO BASS doesn't produce sound and you have to reload it and try again?

I have this happen from time to time with songs that have MODO BASS in it. When I hit play, I have no bass. MODO BASS will be pounding away, but the track's level meters are dead. I have to close the song and try again, and then I'll get sound again.

Yes, I have bumped into this issue more times than I care to mention. Sometimes, the mere act of adjusting a parameter will kill the sound, forcing a reload.

I get it all the time - Ever since using MODO Bass ver 2!
I logged a support call - and it's going nowhere. I *knew* it couldn't be just me who gets this.
Sometimes the whole thing goes dead and sometimes it's just one string (could be any string, it's never always the sameone)
In Reaper, I have to "reload" the plugin, and then it works fine.
I've been trying to work on a script to automate this - because it happens so often. (no luck with that)
It's a PIA :-\

This particular behavior is what I’ve encountered most of the time. So much so that I’ve replaced MODO in older projects and stopped using the plug-in altogether for new ones. It’s simply unreliable.

You guys should definitely report to IKMM and keep nudging them. If there are multiple reports of the same problem, it only increases the likelihood that it will get resolved. Maybe share a problematic project.

Is this happening on Windows or MAC or both? I cannot reproduce it here on Windows 10...

Also, is this happening with live playing from a controller, or just when using MIDI playback from a DAW track.

I'm mostly on Mac OS 13 (Apple Silicon) these days, which is where it is definitely occurring.
But I believe it has also happened to me on Windows 10.

macOS13.3.1 here. Running Cubase 12 under Rosetta. Sometimes occurs by simply playing back the track. External MIDI input doesn’t impact the issue. As stated above, my main culprit is attempting to edit a parameter. That will almost always set it off if it doesn’t crap out from just hitting play.

On version 1 of MODO bass I used to get the bug where one of the strings, lower as I recall, was all of a sudden out of tune and could not be fixed without reloading the project/plugin. It would cause all sorts of chaos when it was acting up. Sounds like a continuation of the bug if it's only affecting one string again.. Come on IK, fix the engine finally.
