Yeah, I can record CV into my DAW via an expert sleepers module, but I guess I’m after the CV equivalent of a looper that means I can manually set the start and end points. I’ll have a play with VCV looper style modules and see if I can MIDI control the process via my x touch mini. I guess I could just record the MIDI, but I imagine the CV will be less stepped with better resolution.

Yeah, that's the kind of thing I was doing with Krait

But that works in discrete steps too.
Of the sampler modules I have, Phonogene and Tyme Sefari can record and playback CV. I see some people saying that 1010's Bitbox Micro has DC coupled i/o and perhaps Qubit Nebula too? I haven't tried those. There are a variety of "knob recorder" or "CV recorder" modules out there. Flame, Modcan, Sound Machines come to mind. I think Patching Panda came out with one recently. Oh yeah, Disting can probably do it too.

I actually have one and it never occurred to me to use it to record DC, only used it for sampled audio playback until now, but yeah I’ll definitely give that a go tomorrow, cheers for the idea.

Nebula is AC.
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Got a new tune down, it went very smoothly and pleased with the results.
Probably will post it in Music Cafe when mixed.

Had a fun little session with modular and Reason; it's really nice being able to hit the "sample" button and quickly build simple sampled instruments. Made a 2-minute sketch that can maybe evolve into a track if it fits a project.
Still finding the workflow for chopping and looping clips into an arrangement to be cumbersome compared with REAPER though

Played the BBC TV theme to the snooker on the telecaster whilst waiting for fish fingers and chips to cook.

It’s a banger tbf and it’s supposed to be about racing nitrous fuelled hell cars, not caressing balls in white gloves while everyone holds their breathdonkey tugger wrote: ↑Tue Sep 20, 2022 7:10 pm Played the BBC TV theme to the snooker on the telecaster whilst waiting for fish fingers and chips to cook.

Rarely use Reason as a DAW these days, but did last night and came up with the bones of what may become a new track. Kind of miss the MIDI tools you get in other DAWs though.
