Jonas Steur did 2 good videos for 90's trance with a mix of hardware and software so just look for what he used or if you've got the cash buy yourself some actual HW units, if you have Reaktor Chro-8080 is a very good emulation of a JP8080 otherwise Diva comes close enough

I think they sound quite authentic honestly, though perhaps leaning more towards what i would consider to be hard trance than trance. Something that always surprises me about classic trance in general is just how low the technical production quality is. It's so raw and there's so much mud. Compare to something like eurodance which came earlier yet generally sound WAY better technically (because eurodance was truly mainstream and many of the hits were big expensive productions by established producers. Many of the trance hits were hobby projects on low end equipment in someones attic or basement and so on). You have alot of room there to work with, both tracks you posted sound very clean in comparison. Any guide for getting a lo-fi house sound or something like that would probably be useful.
