Can anybody recommend an add-on BDF-kit/-library that doesn't suck?

Yeah, you manage to get away with it because for your music it doesn't matter that it doesn't sound like real drums... for mine however it DOES matter - a lot. I make much more traditional stuff.

BFD definitely still has a bit of sampled drum to it's sound, but not as much as many other sampled drum solutions. You may need to go with a real life kit to get what you are after. Good luck in your search.jens wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 5:32 pmplexuss wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:48 pmFor refernce here are a couple tracks of mine that use BDF3. To me it sounds good. I am not searching - I have Superior 3 (with several extensions), AD2 (with most extensions), Modo Drum 1.5 and Ujam VD Solid. They all sound a lot more real to me than BFD3. (Even if AD2 and Solid do less than the other two... - I usually prefer DS3 for production, but Modo is the most fun to play with with a Kit for me because it seems to react more naturally than the others.)

Had some black friday success as well this year
Sonnox Claro ($34) with free UVI model D
Rob Papen Explorer Bundle upgrade $74
Melody Sauce 2 upgarde €9
Sublab plugin with the 2 month loopcloud subscription for $2
Audiodamge OtherDesertCities & Pumphouse on IOS (€7,20)
Grabbed some Echoyboy presets at audiotent as well as a new sample pack at MyLoops
And as a bonus: Soundtoys little Radator + Hornet Sybilla and all Synthmaster One IOS presets for free
The Claro & Explorer Bundle deals are the winners for me

All good now - I purchased the Vintage Recording Techniques one (which is one of the newest and biggest and for me only about 30€ right now) and it sounds to much better to me - mind you: some of older extensions are only something like 600-800mb in size....

Just a few days ago in a different thread someone was insisting Line6 Helix never goes on sale and exists solely to sell the hardware. To which I said something like, "I'm pretty sure it was on sale last year." Well, it's 50% off right now. So if you're that person, there you go!

I went with Blue II (with free upgrade to III), ATLAS and the One Man Tribe samples. Looking to also grab a Goldbaby pack but it's hard to choose

If I remember it well, the older kits only have one sample per velocity layer, and then the engine jumps between layers so that no sample is played twice in a row. A very old approach to round robin. I think they have up to 127 layers per instrument, though.

I would love to see a sale by Arturia of a Fragments and Coldfire bundle.

I'm looking at Neural DSP stuff. Cory and Tone King. I can get both under 100eur now. But I'm not 100% sure I need them.

Purchased:
- Plogue chipsynth OPS7 (impulse buy) + chipcrusher (wanted it for years);
- Ujam Heavy 2 (impulse buy; needed some real drums in my arsenal);
- Cableguys ShaperBox 3 upgrade.
Was tempted by TAL J-8 and Devious Machines Infiltrator 2, but resisted.

I wanted to like and buy Phase plant or Pigments for 99 euro,but their sound is somehow neither impressive nor inspirational to my taste ...
Then start to look for some unique synth and found something old, but super nice and cheap with bonus another synth for less than a beer and chips hahahha
I have most of AIR Music Technology products,but some are favorites.
Highly recommend these two discounts:
