cvilization passing several oscillators to qpas.
0coast in to strega.
wogglebug in control!
The first seconds in had me searching for my phone. It sounded like a muffled ring and the sound of it vibrating :hihi:

I also didn’t realize until looking up at the end that it was a live recording with a 2nd camera (?) superimposed over another camera feed (or image). Your hairy face popped on the screen. That was the giveaway.

This was very cool. Spacey (good thing) with lots of great sounds in between.

yeah all totally live :tu:
which is a pain trying to make the video interesting, its me just sat here  not even wearing my fez!
enjoying a new discovery in obs, where each scene can layer several items, camera, screen captures and such. with some filtering, you can get it layered all showing.
just makes it a bit more interesting than 10 mins (ive tried to keep these short being so many) of a close up of just the synth every time :)

yup, its been great fun. as i mentioned in your thread, otherwise id just be either sleeping or sat watching tv. this has really pushed me to try a few new things, not always successfully, but thats the nature of this kind of thing for me. you pump out 30 or so tracks in a month, you can expect a few less than stellar efforts :hihi:

I wish I did this challenge every year just for that extra push. I was going through 2020 tracks. There were some good things, but most of it was the worst stuff I’ve ever done AND still saved.
It was a very weird year for many reasons but had I completed the 30 tracks in January, I think I would have had a more sonically interesting year.

Have you added any more toys to your setup lately?

I imagine it's a pretty intense form of meditation jamming on this stuff :)

I didn’t know there was a website, but found the fawm.org site. I see it’s half a Jamuary, with emphasis on finishing a song ever two days.

I was thinking album month as in now take your Jamuary jams and make them into a release-worth album, but I guess that’s not the focus?

I forgot we actually started 2020 on rough one after a failed IVF. I think we were just picking things back up before the craziness started. But, onwards and upwards… many noise making years forward!!

no its more "write the songs as you go"
same sort of thing really though i guess, avoiding getting the winter "too cold to do anything in the studio" laziness we sometimes feel.
if you dont sign up though, i cant see why you cant just make your own challenge "take my jamuary and finish an album"
the signing up is more for support from others doing the same thing, but youll have us :tu:

1 frozen embryo, so maybe with surrogacy? Never know but no worries. We’re positive about the whole thing and okay to adopt down the road if needed. And thank you!

I’m gonna talk it over with my brother to see what he wants to do. I’m torn as I like this so far, but a mini album would be just as productive.

Very cool soundscape vurt. You can certainly get some amazing sounds from your gear. Are you controlling it much or do you just get it started and sit back? This has echoes of a Calliope!
