Depends, usually there's a significant difference, which is why I use a condensor mic or 2 for recording. Proper mic technique and mic (hypercardiod/cardiod patterns) would minimize your room deficiencies. If you go the electro-acoustic route, you will never capture a natural sounding acoustic. If 100% realism isn't required, the FXS-3 would likely do you fine, and if you choose to record acoustically you will always have the option as long as you have a mic and a DAW.
