Some BIG changes today from Sonnox:

Oxford Plugins are now compatible with machine authorisation.

The Sonnox team is delighted to announce that as of today, there will not be any need to have a physical iLok, or active internet connection, to use Sonnox Plugins.

(Please note that the Oxford Restore Bundle and Pro-Codec Plugins are coming soon).

Other changes that come into effect as of today.

1) Sonnox no longer charges a license re-registration fee for license transfers.

Please note that iLok does still charge a fee.

This change only applies to the additional fee that was previously applied by Sonnox.

2) Sonnox no longer charges fees for lost and stolen licenses for users without iLok's Zero Down Time or Theft Loss Coverage.

i can't get this working.
Followed all instructions, no dice.
To enable Machine auth for your existing licences, please follow the steps below -

Sign in to your mySonnox area to download and install the newest updates of your Oxford plugins
Update iLok Licence Manager to the latest version from iLok.com
Sign in to the iLok Licence Manager, connect your iLok device and/or open your iLok Cloud Session - File/Open Cloud Session.
Select any of the applicable Oxford licences on your iLok device, or in the iLok Cloud, right click, and select 'Deactivate'.

Your licences will now appear in the 'Available tab' of iLok Licence Manager and will now show as being compatible with iLok Machine Authorisation.
I'm betting Sonnox haven't enabled it yet.
Their products page on the website still says
...authorise your Plug-In using either of the following methods:

iLok USB device. iLok2 / iLok3 required with latest drivers

iLok Cloud. Active internet connection required

Worked fine for me with Inflator. Deactivated cloud, authorised against machine, works fine. Did you update the Sonnox plugins?

Post

yep, followed all steps as per email.

contacted support, i'll let you know soon ;)

Soon, the physical dongle will be gone. I guess Slate will be last to abandon it.

Post

Is it because machine authorization became more sophisticated?
Or they just gave up?

recent Sonnox survey people told them what they needed to know

Sonnox support have informed me that the issue is with G5 licenses that have been upgraded from the previous G4 generation. Hopefully it will be resolved soon, meanwhile they have deposited temporary licenses for all of my Sonnox plugins. Thank you Sonnox support. Hopefully they gain a whole bunch of new customers, and have some mega sales for the paupers like me :P

If only UAD could do the same...

How many activations do you have at a time with Sonnox?
Duh
