Why should a real human not confirm that he/she is not a AI bot? It's a very simple question.

If you remove the digitalriver. subdomain from the url of the ticket system you get to this website:
https://www.servicenow.com/

They advertise in bold letters: "PUT AI AGENTS TO WORK FOR PEOPLE"

And yes. I do care wheter an AI bot or a real person answers my questions about missing payments. Especially when i get charged with $$ for this

Our award-winning synthesizers offer true high-end sound quality.

For information i wanted to purchased a new notebook from Asus (Europe), in the order form there is a mention that transactions are done by Digital River!
So the final question is: Does DR is really dead or simply wants to work only with big companies ?

Just because they have AI features in their platfrom, and put a lot of related buzzwords on their website (as every IT company does these days), doesn't mean you are (only) talking to an AI bot.

Found this here, it should give a little more insight: https://plat4mation.com/blog/everything ... now-genai/

Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to defened their useless (and now overpriced) support, no matter if it's an AI bot or an ill-paid Filipino student. I just doubt it's (pure) AI.

They can only replied:

"Thank you for getting back to us. We are currently engaged with our accounting team in regards with your July and August sales. As soon as we have more information with the payout dates we will keep you posted.

For your September sales, please note that the Account Summary reports will be issued within 30 days of the close of the sales month. Payment will then be initiated within 30 days of the Account Summary report.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and delay this has caused."

But no money I received.

Only the "MyCommerce" brand seems to be affected, which is operated by German subsidiary Digital River GmbH. It used to be an independent German company (element 5), and the platform was known as "share-it" when DR acquired it in 2005.

DR has other platforms/brands for major clients, and Asus seems to sell through one of those.

I told them in one of tickets that for each extra effort that they put on us (refunds, contact of customers, reply to their support tickets, ...) we are going to charge them and send invoice ;) Btw. I am thinking now to send them invoice for all mo-ney that they own to us :)

I assume this AI is something similar to Copilot. AI suggests a "probable answer". Human is the one who accepts that answer or edits it. But I guess if there's nothing meaningful to say it's easier to just "auto complete" generic answer. And charge for support.

Maybe they also should let AI manage their finances when they're unable to do so by themselves...

I checked the system status in the ticket system.

Yeah, it seems only the German GmbH is affected. Maybe Kasoff only wants to bring down this one. Somehow fits what's happening else regarding Germany <-> US

Maybe DR GmbH, concentrating on 'virtual' products, was getting a lot of chargebacks to the extent that VISA, MasterCard, Amex etc were increasing their fees or even refusing to renew their service.

Or maybe DR GmbH was the only profitable one in the group and Kasoff wanted to switch it to a 60 days payment cycle to delay payout so that he could use the GmbH money in the bank to pay debts of other subsidiaries. Maybe hoping to carry on then at 60 days. But what he didn't reckon with was how fast we would all switch to different MoR providers at the first sign of something strange going on. That leaving him high and dry, so to speak.

Kasoff isn't the CEO of GmbH anymore as far as I know. Maybe he messed it up and backed off.

Either way it's now too late for the GmbH. It won't recover now.

Kasoff isn't only the CEO but the new private owner of the whole company. So DR isn't publc anymore (as it used to be, was listed in the Nasdaq - the Wikipedia site has dated info). Digital River GmbH Cologne / Frankfurt has its own CEO, and afaik it's this one who has changed.

The DR main site still features Kasoff (CEO) and Bush (President):
https://www.digitalriver.com/about-us/

When you click on the pic of Barry Kasoff (scroll down) you get this info:
"Barry Kasoff is the CEO and owner of Digital River"

https://www.digitalriver.com/privacy-policy/
When you scroll down on this site you'll see that the main company (Digital River Inc, located in Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA) runs countless sub-companies from those Digital River GmbH Cologne is just one of many, which include:

Digital River Australia Pty Ltd.
Digital River Do Brasil Importação e Comercio De Produtos De Informatica Ltda
Digital River GmbH
Digital River Hong Kong
Digital River India Private Ltd.
Digital River Ireland Ltd.
Digital River Japan K.K.
Digital River Korea, Limited
Digital River Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V.
Digital River Singapore Pte. Ltd.
Digital River Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
DR APAC, LLC., Taiwan Branch
DR globalTech, Inc.

DR is finished worldwide now because publishers will not stop chasing their money until it's ALL paid. Every social media post by DR will be commented on, every company still using them will be informed of their practices, and so on.
