Dedicated to my lovely young 10 year old niece. She is extremely intelligent, adventurous, fearless, and has a vivid imagination. This is about her Time Machine.

Created on an iPad Pro with some inexpensive apps… less than lunch money.

Are you open to collaborations? I can play some expressive cinematic drum parts to this if you're open to the idea...

Hi Flatbush! I’m always open to collaborate. You are the first to ask! I joined this forum about a year ago, hoping to discuss “music” with others. KVR is not a particularly talkative bunch. Oh well, it’s a place to post my stuff. I have been a member of the Audiobus Forum for several years. They recently changed the name to Loopy Pro Forum. I think the new name is rather silly, but the people are great. They love to chat about anything and everything. I do collaborations now and then. Please consider joining. It’s free and I am sure they would welcome you with open arms. I usually check in daily. They have become like family to me. Just tell them Paulie sent you.

Regarding this track, it’s pretty much done and I have moved on to the next one. But… and it’s a big butt… I am always working on something new. This ambient stuff is just a phase I’m going through at the moment. I like most everything, from metal to bebop to country. I’ve even done some rap and EDM. Ironic since I’m an old white guy.

Do you have anything that I can listen to?

BTW… Happy New Year!

Lovely sounds. I do like the apps on iPads, so much to choose from. And like you say cheap in price, but not quality.
Very cinematic.
Well done!

Thank you! As dad used to say… you get what you pay for! Actually, I think I got a lot more than I paid for. I tried to imagine what this would have cost to do in a 16 track studio back in the 80s. The tape alone would cost more than all of the apps. Then I would have to have hire an engineer. Then I would have to try to get everybody to show up on time for the session. This iPad stuff is much mo betta! I do this stuff sitting in my comfy chair whenever feel like it. This is better!

I bought a Tascam 4 track cassette recorder for over $1000 in the 80s and we recorded our band and were excited to be able to do so. Now I have so many tracks in Logic Pro on my Mac mini I never run out! Even my iPad M1 is so much better.

I think the strings are too repetitive on the Time Machine song but what apps did you use to do the ambient flanges sound effects? I’m listening through the main KVR stream list today I usually don’t.
