I put this one together in April 2023, and if the sound of this piece is anything to go by, my prevailing mood at that time would have been best described as sombre :)

I went back to EnergyXT2.7 and my 32-bit world, although I'm not sure why I did that, as all of the plugins on here were available in 64-bit versions.

Dark, dissonant ambient with glitchy synths

Super cool. Nice work :tu:
When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

Dark polar night vibe. it's cold, dark and nothing to do but waiting the sunrice and the summer.
Still I liked the soundscape on the track.

Adrift in the deepest, darkest reaches of space. It is peaceful here...

Wait, what's that? Some kind of interference. I'm picking up a satellite transmission. It's a kind of crunchified side 2 of Computerworld. I keep telling those damn kids to turn down their interstellar techno broadcast so I can get some rest. :x

Finally out of range. Drifting into the darkest void. There are no stars here. Just icy blackness. Peace at last.

Excellent track! Very different from your other material.

Great mix. No frequency issues. :tu:

Quite haunting indeed. And as always good choice of sounds and solid production.

Dark and cold is an accurate description of the atmosphere I was trying to create.

I like the deep space/satellite transmission scenario. It wasn't something that occurred to while I was putting this together, but it seems to suit the overall vibe of the piece.

This year marks the 42nd anniversary of my first home computer, although the Kraftwerk album predated that by a couple of years.

ominous piece 8)
the opening had me in mind of alien, the nostromo, or red dwarf, a huge hulking space craft, floating in deep space.

It's can be quite rewarding to dig some of those old VSTis out of the closet to see what turns up.

I've had a few people associate this with deep space travel, and Alien remains one of my all-time fave SciFi movies. I saw it at the cinema in 1979, and it was a decidedly terrifying experience, something that the numerous sequels never quite managed to do. Now might be a good time to revisit the series, in the order in which the events took (will take?) place.

Wow! Has a real 'pulling up to Giedi Prime' feel to me. In other words, cold, dark, industrial spacey... much as others have tuned in to. The ambient parts are especially gorgeous to me. Thanks for this Tim!
