Nice.
I've always thought eagles and hawks were overrated as hunters and underappreciated as scavengers.
The hawks do a grand job of clearing up the dead possums up our way.

Thanks for checking it out. I used to see hawks often. Not so much now. Eagles are pretty rare in my area. I saw one last year. Plenty of crows flying and hopping about. They scavenge for uneaten dog kibble.

I thought I would prefer the one with vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, but I like the vocals, synth, and vocoder version more. Which vocoder did you use?
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

As a Labrador owner, what's 'uneaten' dog kibble? :?

Thanks for listening to both. I used Zynaptiq's Orange Vocoder.

Until a few years, I had the same experience. But a health issue caused loss of appetite, so sometimes he'll leave some morsels for the birds.

I preferred the first track (vocoder, etc.), partly because it was longer and there was more to get my teeth into. I really liked the FX processing. The second track has potential, but I felt it was too short. Probably needed to be at least 2 minutes longer.

Good work :)

Thanks seismic. I probably spent more time messing with the fx than singing. Maybe I'll write a few more stanzas and expand the rockish version.

The first track has nice echoes of the Beatles for me. The effects are very cool.
I agree with Tim. The second one should be longer... Residents meets Zappa

Music with progressive intent.

Genetic_Junk,
Thank you for the review! Now listening to the guitar version of the song: it is very short (I think it could be longer) and very trippy! Now listening to good vocoding version song; I prefer this version better overall. It's also trippy. Good synths. Appropriate length. What did you use for the very good vocoding? I am into birds more than most people. Hawks are very common in Southern California; I don't think there are many eagles here, though perhaps it's hard to tell the difference at a distance. I think Bald Eagles (more easily identifiable with the white head) are pretty rare in my area.

Thanks Allomerus. :)

I thought both were really good. But I liked the first one better. The vocoding plus slower tempo gave it a nice dreamy vibe.
