Wow, pretty cool, what did you use?

The first minute and 20 seconds are outstanding, I'll just delete the other stuff and continue that first minute in 20 seconds.

Daw? Synths?

Thanks! I did this in Cubasis. The whispering is from a site called MixKit. Timmy is from South Park, but the song is about Timmy from the old Lassie TV show. Most of the instruments are from the stock sounds that come with Cubasis. The whole thing is built around something that I discovered by accident while playing with the Stereo Delay effect that comes with Cubasis. I liked it and made a loop in A and transposed it down to F# just so I would have at least one key change. The bass line is a blatant rip-off from LA Woman. The acoustic piano bits were randomly punched into the MIDI editor, then I edited it until I liked it. The electric guitar parts are from an app called Riffler. Most of the other sounds are from an app called Blocs Wave. I originally intended to do a simple fade out but forgot to delete a few parts that I had dragged out past the end locator. I just decided to keep it. After listening to it again this morning, I think I might remix it. My eardrums took a beating and it sounds different this morning. Glad you liked it.

Really? The key change is my favorite part. Oh well, to each his own. See above for production notes. Thanks for listening. Have a great day!

Great stuff! It gets better with every listen.

Thank you very much!!! Maybe I'll skip the remix and leave it as is. Have a good one!

Don't skip the remix, lol. I'd even be willing to remix it. I probably wouldn't add any elements I'd just use whatever elements you got and mix them a little bit.

I was going to remix it anyway, and not say anything! There are two glitches that I didn't notice until the day after posting. Three if you include the overall mix. I used a lot of inexpensive samples in this piece. You get what you pay for. It always seems that the ones I like have warts. Sometimes I can clean them up, sometimes not. I have done a lot of collaborations, but I have never had someone remix my tracks. That might be fun and interesting. The thing is... I really love doing this stuff! I'll give it another go, and we can touch bases in the future if you think you might still be interested. Have a good one!

I haven't heard that song in an age!
I also heard snippets of Pink Floyd's 'One of These Days' in the intro. Maybe that was purely accidental, or some pretty slick sampling. Anyway, thanks...the Riffler software programme is just amazing.

Why's Timmy in the Well and is he well?

That's one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs. I played in a PF tribute for a few years and we turned it into a 20 minute rocker! People seemed to like it, too. That sample was an accident. I'm like the broken clock that's right twice a day. I merged drums and bass into a single sample then tried a few different delays on it until I found one that I liked. Riffler is a great little app for someone like me. I don't play anymore, but like a little crunchy guitar now and then. Thanks for listening!

Timmy was just your typical 7 year old boy of that era - boundless energy, adventurous, and full of mischief. I guess he thought it was a good idea at the time. Fortunately, he had his faithful, trusted companion with him. Every young boy should have a dog like Lassie. He's doing just fine now, and is in search of the next big adventure with his dog. I really miss old TV shows like that. Flipper was great, too. Thanks for listening and have a great day.
