“Line of Demarcation” is an Alto Chapman Stick/Trumpet duet. The Alto Stick part was improvised first and the trumpet part added later using LinnStrument (Audio Modeling SWAM Trumpet 3 with Harmon Mute).

Like many musicians with coach potato experience, I spend a lot of time practicing while “watching” TV. I have my Alto Chapman Stick plugged into a ToneX One pedal plugged into a discontinued IK Multimedia slim full range, 40W tiny stereo speaker. I can power the ToneX with my phone and I started recording pieces directly into my iPhone Voice App. I edited four of these pieces together in Logic Pro for the iPad and then added the trumpet part using LinnStrument.

Really nice jcub! This piece runs quite the gamut of emotion. The changes between playful and somber in the opening minutes are great. The section around 5:33 is very cool.
When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

jcub,
Kind of jazzy. Kind of like flowing water, during a lot of it. Surprised the iPhone audio is as good quality as it is. Intricate Stick playing. The trumpet sounds quite realistic. Nice melodies & playing!

Thanks for the listen and comments. I have the recording quality set to the highest setting in Voice Record on the iPhone. The ToneX One better sounds really good in general and especially with a few patches I set up for the Stick with the original passive pickups.
