what synth(s) (or fx(s)) did you pick up this year that you ended up using the most
[can't figure out how you got by w/o it]

and I suppose what did you pick up that you ended up not using much.

for me picking up Komplete 2, I was initially impresssed with Intakt, but I don't think I've ever used it in a project.

but since I heard the bio mechanoid banks for Absynth and some Clevinger banks, Absynth has been in every project.

for fx -- it would have to be Voxengo Polysquasher and Elephant -- they polish every project

Reaktor Session. There have been other purchases but that's the only one that I've used in every track since I've had it.

For me it's EnergyXT.
I actually bought it as a toy and my main host was Ableton Live & Traction.

After 4 month's playing with it, and learning, it replaced Tracktion for me.

Certainly the best purchase of the year to me.

LfO & filters are changed by touching that red touchpad on it...

It's a cheese grater, you rub the cheese on the strings and collect it in the wooden box bit. Very useful for tarnce.

ah I see. is that picture to scale? Doesn't look like it would hold much cheese. Also how do you 'zest' a lemon as you would with a normal cheese grater? Are there some finer strings on the reverse with which to cut your hand whilst using it?

I gotta get enough gloating in to justify the $7000 pricetag, you know...

But yeah, it would be just a heap of wood and iron without the Dalek, Cybermen and the Doctor to power it. And did you know? The whole damn thing can fit into that little TARDIS on top. The wonders of Gallifreyan technology!
