Ohm Force releases early-access "Ohmboyz Infinity" Multi Tap Delay

-
Ohm Force

Ohm Force has released an early-access version of Ohmboyz Infinity, a multi tap / multi FX delay.

Initial Details:

  • Macros²:
    • In Ohmboyz ∞ Macros get the square treatment. You'll quickly realise you can't live without those four big knobs. Hit them first each time you load a patch.
    • Behind the scene, you'll see how adding a -1/+1 assignment and a response curve on the top of a mapping range to the old formulas makes all the difference.
    • A gentle lowering of the feedback once resonance pass a certain threshold, with a high cut kicking in further down the knob's course? Easy.
  • Multi Taps:
    • Up to 8 taps to create complex, evolving rhythmic patterns or precise early reflections before sending the sound to the delay lines.
    • Each instance comes with its own effects, including pitch shifting and EQ.
  • Multi FX:
    • In addition to the always delightful filters, EQ and distortion you get pitch and frequency shifters, speed control for all sort of analog / tape emulation (or crazier stuff).
    • On the top of it a reverb combines with the other fx to allow for highly controllable atmosphere and absolutely wild evolving landscapes.
  • Meet the modulators:
    • ...so many modes.
    • ...with many parameters.
    • ...that can in turn be modulated.
    • also featuring a step sequencer.
    • and plenty of randomness & chaos.

Early Access Offer:

  • Price: €99.
  • You get access to the latest beta version immediately.
  • And to the full license when 1.0 is released (target: 4 2018).
  • Each feature update will increase the price until the full release. The earlier you buy, the better the deal.

What to expect?:

  • already fairly stable in internal tests...
  • ...but there will be bugs.
  • already one of the most powerful delays around...
  • ...but we want to bring it to a level of its own with your help.
  • the UI won't burn your eyes...
  • ...but it will be completely reskinned for release.
  • just a few preset and basic documentation for now.
  • retro compatibility: your patches will carry on working with successive updates (but if we improve some DSP components, that may change the sound a bit).

I thought the same thing, noou. I'm disappointed they don't offer an upgrade path for those who have bought the All Effects Bundle.

As an owner of the All All Bundle, I'm pretty much done with them after reading the FAQ stating that the early adopter price is as good as it's going to get. They don't improve their old plug ins, then redesign one of them, and offer better prices to new users than existing customers. The same thing applied with Ohmicide.
