Protonfx releases Curemo - Universal Software Controller for Cubase

7th January 2009

Protonfx has announced the released of version 1.0.1 of Curemo, a utility application that allows you to control Steinberg's Cubase remotely from other Windows PCs and PocketPCs (PDAs) running Windows Mobile. You can operate all common standard transport controls using your keyboards, mouse, stylus or fingers (on touch sensitive displays) and assign your own keyboard shortcuts to many Cubase commands.

CuremoWith Curemo you can assign more keyboard shortcuts to Cubase commands than is possible with Cubase itself (for instance, Curemo allows you to use the Windows key as a modifier key, allowing you to define shortcuts like Win+F6). Moreover, you can spread shortcuts across multiple keyboards from multiple computers. Basically Curemo allows you to utilize the computer keyboard of any (networked) computer as a remote control surface for Cubase. Curemo is built around a client-server architecture, allowing many Curemo Clients to control a single instance of Cubase through Curemo Server over a standard TCP/IP network connection from any distance; this gives you ultimate flexibility in control.

Curemo is small, lightweight and unobtrusive and requires any edition of Windows XP or Windows Vista to run. This means that you can easily turn an older computer, or a computer which is normally used for other purposes, into an additional controller for Cubase. It comes in a native 32-bit and 64-bit version and does not depend on any external software except, of course, Cubase.

Curemo costs €19.99.
