Cakewalk Sonar 3 announced

Cakewalk have unveiled Sonar 3, which will be available in Producer ($719) and Studio ($479) editions. An overview of the differences between the two can be found here. Essentially the Producer edition will include an enhanced mixing console and more bundled plugins (VSampler 3 DXi incl. its professional sample library, Ultrafunk Sonitus, Lexicon Pantheon).

Sonar 3 is scheduled to begin shipping in the second week of October.

Sonar 3 includes over 100 new features and enhancements including:

• Support for VST effects & instruments through included Cakewalk VST Adapter.

• Patch effects, trim audio, and roll out loops without disrupting the audio stream.
• MIDI Groove Clips.
• Multi-port MTC and MIDI sync transmission.
• Full control over colour schemes with multiple presets.
