SampleOddity releases Weird Ambient Stuff for Kontakt

31st March 2010

SampleOddity has released Weird Ambient Stuff, a collection of spooky spectral soundscapes, alien atmospheres, disturbing distortions, and other abnormalities used to establish a proper sense of otherworldly unease. SampleOddity says that "evolving rhythms and twisting waves of sound will bend to your will with a turn of the mod wheel, offering immediate flexibility and control".

WAS includes 101 instruments:

The sounds are all derived from an array of field recordings with varied sources like: the inside of a freezer, grandfather clock chimes, a Wurlitzer organ, and an old rusty wok. Those sounds, and more, were then stretched and mutated into eerie ambiences.

Weird Ambient Stuff is available now, as direct download for Kontakt 2+ for $29 (267MB of samples / 130MB .rar download)
