macProVideo has announced the release of a new series of Studio & Recording Techniques videos for audio producers. This new series focuses on the craft of music production, including instrument skills, recording techniques, and software-agnostic work-flows like mixing music for depth and sonic dimension. There are 4 titles available in this series.

The feature title in this series is Greg Townley's Sonic Dimension in Mixing. Greg Townley's mixing credits include films Sideways and Wedding Crashers, and artists Usher and Lil' Kim. In this tutorial, Greg brings to macProVideo.com the first of several mixing tutorials explaining how he creates his sonic masterpieces. He shows viewers his finely-tuned techniques and explains how to give your mixes the same sonic illusion complete with front to back, side to side and high and low dimensions.

macProVideo.com also announces the release of a new title in the series called Advanced Synthesis by Richard Lainhart. This title is the follow-up to Richard's best-selling tutorial, Analog Synthesis in a Digital World. In these titles Richard uses a hardware Buchla synth and a software Moog to demonstrate key concepts in the world of creative sound design through audio synthesis.

The Studio & Recording Techniques series also includes keyboard warm-up and playing techniques tutorials by Jordan Rudess, the Keyboardist for Dream Theater. Watch as Jordan demonstrates important skills that will help any keyboardist get the most out of their live performances.

These tutorials are available for HD download and online streaming to your desktop computer, iPhone, and iPad.
