Inspired Arts & Media signs Business Development agreement with iConnectivity for iConnectMIDI for iPad, iPod and iPhone, and Mac or Windows

12th January 2011

Inspired Arts & Media has signed an exclusive agreement with iConnectivity for International New Business Development for iConnectMIDI for iPad, iPod and iPhone, and Mac or Windows PCs.

iConnectMIDI is the first ultra-fastMIDI interface for iPads, iPhones and iPods and Mac and Windows PCs. The breakthrough technology will be demoed in booth 1673 in Hall E in the App area.

Inspired Arts & Media has been creating, marketing and innovating digital media and digital products for over ten years. CEO, Kevin Kent, announced that Inspired is very excited to be the exclusive representative for iConnectivity worldwide: “30 years ago MIDI, the polyphonic keyboard, digital sampling and the drum machine changed the way people created music, everything since has been a spin on that. I believe now the iPad, iPod and iPhone will be the next meteoric change in the way people will create music going forward. Someone going from a Grand Piano to an iPad may have a lot to complain about, but someone going from Guitar Hero will not. That being said, the iConnectMIDI allows me to plug in to my legacy MIDI keyboard, even my Yamaha 7 foot MIDI Diskclavier into my iPad and record MIDI, and I love that. As more Apps become compliant with Apple’s iOS CoreMIDI, life creating music as we know it, will change. I would expect there to be over 1,000 affordable CoreMIDI music apps by mid year. Compare that to the slow start and limited introduction of hardware programs 30 years ago. When it comes to connectivity, it's time for the need for hi-speed and reliable connectivity to reach across multiple platforms and industries. At NAMM we expect to see a lot of smiles as real musicians and engineers can understand and appreciate what iConnectMIDI can do. Near zero latency across and iPod or iPad from a MIDI keyboard makes it professional, it becomes a game changer.”

“It’s a blast to have someone with the experience of Kevin on the team. We have a product map for rapid growth. Our new product introductions will be game changers. Kevin has proven he has the vision and experience to market worldwide, especially with new products that change the creative scope of music. ” states, Michael Loh, CEO of iConnectivity.
