Surround SFX releases Transistor Rhythm - High-End Drum-Library for Maschine, Battery and EXS-24 & 3 Free Kits

23rd May 2011

Surround SFX has announced the immediate availability of Transistor Rhythm, a premium 24-bit, 96kHz sample library for the Maschine 1.6+, Battery 3 and EXS-24 platforms, created by sound designer Denis Goekdag. Also available are three free kits taken from the library.

SSFX Transistor Rhythm Transistor Rhythm consists of 800 Drum and SFX samples, created using a large number of rare vintage synthesizers and drum machines, as well as modern high-end DSP systems and outboard processors. The samples are organized into 50 Maschine Groups, each of which contains 4 for a total of 200 unique patterns, 50 Battery 3 kits and 28 EXS-24 drum bank instruments.

“We set out to make the best possible drums for modern electronic and urban styles, and went the full extra mile, both in terms of equipment used and in terms of attention to detail. Getting there involved 6 months of virtually *living* in the studio, a gear-list that reads like an audio-fanatic's wish-list, recording, editing and processing at 192kHz sampling rate, editing waveforms with a pencil tool and gallons of coffee. We even booked a mastering studio for choosing SRC and dither settings on a per-sample basis. If that sounds obsessive or nerdy to you: yes sir, guilty as charged!” - Denis Goekdag

The Transistor Rhythm features at a glance:

Transistor Rhythm requires NI Maschine v1.6+, NI Battery 3+ or EXS-24 to use the Groups/Kits/Instruments, the sample material can be used with any sampler.
