u-he updates Zebra to v2.5.1 with 64-bit support for Mac and Windows and sets Zebralette FREE

u-he has released version 2.5.1 of Zebra and Zebralette (which is now free). Despite the minor version jump from 2.5. to 2.5.1, there are numerous improvements and additions including 64-bit support, new spectral effects and extra presets. Of course Zebrify, the effects version of Zebra2, also benefits from the makeover.

The “oscillator playground” synth Zebralette is now freeware (it started out as "magware"). Zebralette is basically a single oscillator lifted out of Zebra2 and has what it takes to get synth fans hooked on the Zebra2 way of radically manipulating oscillator sounds.

Last but not least, u-he have dropped the $20 they originally charged for upgrading from Zebra1 to Zebra2. All Zebra1.x license owners can now retrieve a free Zebra 2.5 license from the companyʼs online support section.

New customers can purchase Zebra for $199.
