TC Electronic announces LM6 Radar Loudness Meter Support for the AAX Plug-in Format (+VST, AU, RTAS)

TC has confirmed that its cross-platform LM6 Radar Loudness Meter, scheduled for launch December 2011, will also support Avid's new AAX plug-in format.

LM6 Radar Loudness Meter will be available in VST, AU, RTAS and AAX Native versions December 2011.

TC's radar display has long proven an efficient solution when upgrading audio production for broadcast, film and music from unsatisfactory peak level indicators to loudness-based metering. LM6 Radar Loudness Meter gives you direct access to this meter whether you are using Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Nuendo, Wavelab, Sequoia, etc. on a Mac or PC and whether your productions are in mono, stereo or 5.1.

The user interface of the LM6 plug-in is similar to TC radar meters for other platforms such as LM5D for Pro Tools HD. If you are already familiar with the radar, moving between platforms is seamless.

LM6 shows loudness history in a single, easy-to-read, radar-like view and each revolution can span from 1 minute to 24 hours. Further, you can log loudness history and other key information as a standard formatted text file that. LM6 employs a fully synchronous, high-headroom design in order to also display true-peak warnings and true-peak bar graphs correctly; and it conforms with all of the major broadcast standards such as ITU BS.1770-2, ATSC A/85 and EBU R128.
