VSL releases Vienna Jazz Drums, 17 New Single Instruments, and announces "2+1 Summer Special"

The Vienna Symphonic Library has announced the release of Vienna Jazz Drums as well as seventeen new Single Instruments that are instantly available for download. Vienna Jazz Drums offers the full sonic variety of a complete 60s Rogers drum set with all the subtle details, bringing a decade of experience in sampling and software development to the art of jazz drumming. The new Single Instruments are full-fledged instruments and ensembles taken from the existing Vienna Instruments DVD Collections. Coinciding with this release, the Vienna Symphonic Library offers a "2+1 Summer Special" in the month of July. Customers who purchase two Single Instruments will receive one Single Instrument for free.

Capturing the Art of Jazz Drumming
Vienna Jazz Drums features an exclusive, customized 60s Rogers drum set, with original 60s Avedis Zildjian cymbals, that has been captured at Vienna's Silent Stage in high detail. Not only have single hits been recorded, using every conceivable drum technique and articulation – special attention has been paid to the different playing zones of the instruments, especially the ride cymbal and the snare drum. As an example, the modulation wheel allows for a seamless timbral crossfade from the head to the rim of the shell, while the free included Vienna Instruments player analyzes parameters like velocity, speed and the numbers of repetitions in real-time. With the included MIDI drum loops, customers may easily create authentic and lively jazz drum performances. Additionally, users of Vienna Instruments Pro may benefit from a set of exclusive drum loops for the internal Auto Playback and Pattern sequencer (APP) of Vienna Instruments PRO.

New Single Instruments for Download
The 17 new Single Instruments are full-fledged Vienna Instruments offering the complete set of samples and articulations on par with the big Vienna Instruments DVD Collections. The added products include muted trumpets and trombones (both as solo and ensemble versions), harps, special keyboard instruments such as harpsichord, harmonium, prepared piano, as well as various percussion instruments such as celesta, glockenspiel, vibraphone, xylophone, marimbaphone, tamtams & gongs, bells and exotic percussion instruments.

Prices range from €40 for the Glockenspiel Standard Library up to €205 for the Harp 1 Full Library*.

Coinciding with the release of the new Single Instruments, the Vienna Symphonic Library announces a limited time offer. Customers who purchase two Single Instruments of the same Library portion (Standard, Extended or Full Library) between July 1 and July 31, 2012 will receive one Single Instrument for free and may select from 76 currently available products. In addition to this limited time offer, the prices of most of the existing Single Instruments Standard Libraries have been lowered.
