Samplemodeling releases SWAM "Soprano & Bass Clarinets" for Win & Mac VST & AU

8th October 2012

Samplemodeling has announced the release of The Soprano & Bass Clarinets, a new virtual instrument created by Stefano Lucato and Emanuele Parravicini for their proprietary SWAM platform.

Following Ms. Sax S., the Clarinets are the next virtual instruments based on the SWAM (Synchronous Wavelength Acoustic Modeling) technology. Sample-based, i.e. with the timbre of the real instrument, but with endless articulations and phrasings, built in real-time by the player using a keyboard and a few MIDI controllers, or a wind-controller.

Advanced processing techniques allow realistic crescendo, legato/portamento, vibrato, ornamentations & trills, constant-formant pitchbends, subharmonics, growl, overblow (and much more) to be performed in real-time.

Microtuning: The Clarinets include an entirely new feature, coping with the requirements of musicians playing Middle Eastern and Asian Music. Samplemodeling's approach to microtuning yields maximal flexibility, allowing user-defined scales, where the extent of detuning (range -60/+60 cents) can be precisely set for each note, and selectively applied to individual notes in real-time by Keyswitches activated by a MIDI CC.

Pricing & Availability

The Clarinets package (containing Soprano Clarinet & Bass Clarinet) is available for €149 (+VAT, if applicable). All Samplemodeling customers are entitled to a time-limited 10% discount. Please note that this offer expires on November 30th, 2012.
