29th November 2012
This compact multi-instrument collection focuses on a variety of ethnic, western, traditional and experimental stringed and tuned percussion instruments. It feature a dozen instruments found in the Soundiron Stringed and Tuned Percussion Bundles for Kontakt with a total of 20 unique articulations. It includes bamboo log drums, wooden box drums, plucked zithers, prepared piano, steel bells, music box, PVC tube drums, wine glasses, kalimba/mbira, toy glockenspiel, waterharp and a modified twine-strung cello.
The GUI features a dual-layer mix control in each preset that allows you to create custom blends with selected pairings from the 20 different articulations included with the library. Each preset comes with dual layer volumes, attack, release gating, filter, Echo, Reverb and other shaping and special FX parameter controls that can be automated and changed in real-time, allowing a broad range of sonic possibilities.
This unique upright piano instrument multi-sample library captures a classic beat-up, worn-down, rickety upright piano. With a watery and faded tone, wobbly hammers and a few broken strings.
Based on the Old Busted Granny Piano library for Kontakt, it includes a variety of Combinator patches with custom front panel controls to reshape the action and tone, with note attack to simulate pad-like sounds, note release, release sample volume and the volume of the pedal sound effect that plays when using the sustain pedal. It also includes reverb effects and a special "Grahammy" mode that simulates the piano recorded on an old phonograph, complete with vinyl record pops. There is also a selection of sustaining ambient pads and evolving drones derived from the source.
