Homegrown Sounds releases Starburst for Kontakt and Sampletank

Homegrown Sounds has released Starburst, which features a selection of pads created on the Virus TI Synthesizer, for either Kontakt/SFZ/WAV or Sampletank.

The Virus TI is great for creating organic sounding Pads and this collection is an opportunity to replicate this sound inside your sampler. Each instrument is made up of at least 5 multi-samples ensuring smooth transitions across the instrument. Whilst this is primarily a pads collection the instruments are mostly designed to be melodic so that they are useful across the board wherever lush synths are required. For Kontakt and Sampletank, there are many child presets which make good use of the supported sample engines.

Starburst is priced at $35 and is currently available at 50% off along with all other HGS products during December, 2012.

Starburst K Features (Kontakt/SFZ/WAV):

• 110 Parent Instruments using at least 5 multi-samples.

  • ALT - An alternate version often using the sample start to add a different slant.
  • LFO - An LFO->Filter Modulated version.
  • Slow - Uses a slow attack on the filter Envelope for a more Ambient Pad.
  • Stab - Uses a sharp Filter Envelope Decay for a stab or pluck sound, good for Arpeggios.
• 550 Kontakt Presets in total.
• Compatible with Kontakt 2 or later.
• 110 SFZ Presets which many samplers can import.

  • Delay – Adds a delay and Filter Envelope.
  • Lead – A mono synth version great for leads.
  • Low – An octave lower with different Envelope/LFO settings.
  • Slow – Uses a Slow Envelope Attack for the Filter Envelope for a more Ambient Sound.
  • Stab – Uses a sharp Filter Envelope Decay for a stab or pluck sound, good for Arpeggios.
  • Verby – Uses a long Reverb Time and subtle Flanger creating a lush Ambient Pad.
