Channel Robot releases "GM//Slice - Underground Techno" for Kontakt 5

21st November 2013

Channel Robot and Loopmasters have announced the release of Grid Machine//Slice - Underground Techno, a collection of samples for techno and minimal producers looking for royalty free sounds to complement their productions for the dance floor.

Version 2 of GM//Slice allows users to reinvent the included loops in thousands of musically useful ways: Cut, Chop, Stutter, Reverse, Mix, Modulate and Slice. A loop altering tool to Bend, Twist and re-create loops all in real time. Users can create and build their own stuttering, fading chopped loops and glitch sounds from any of the included material.

Every loop can be cross mixed with up to 11 others, variable repeats (stutter), reverse and mute effects, user designed pattern structures, random slice playing - for ever changing loops - volume envelopes and featuring EQ, Filter, Distortion, Lo-Fi, Phaser, Flanger, Delay, Reverb, Chorus, Pan, Tremolo, and Vibrato effects, all connected to an independent set of controls - that modulate every FX parameter. There are hundreds of different ways to slice(re-order) each loop, plus users can play these patterns forwards, backwards, forwards and backwards, half-speed, double speed, and skip slices.

Loops can be retriggered at any time from any slice, play sub-loops, latch on a single slice, Slice responds to DAW tempo changes and allows the design of the users own playback patterns, Loops re-trigger to bar and beat all from the keyboard or the user friendly GUI inside Kontakt. Slice is tempo sync'ed to the DAW or plays as a stand-alone instrument, placing features right on the users keyboard (using its extensive key-switch system).

Price: £19.95.
