Detunized releases Passing Trains Library (Live Pack & WAV)

Detunized has released Passing Trains (Live Pack & WAV), a new library that delivers the sounds of Express, Freight and Passenger trains that approach, pass, stop and pull out.

The recordings took place at several isolated spots in Saxon Switzerland near Dresden. This rock formation is cut by a river that formed a deep valley where the rails snake along. Due to the complex reflection patterns caused by the rock walls some of the included takes have very long tails of up 3 minutes. These tails are designed to sound like otherworldly swells of approaching iron and steel. Passing Trains also contains some close ups that were taken with lavalieres and contact microphones attached directly to the rail.
