ModeAudio has released 2 new field recordings collections exploring sounds of the vibrant, bustling city. City Scenes and City Transport both feature 6 detailed recordings that range in length from 1 to 2 minutes, with total running times of around 10 minutes for both collections.
The WAV files contained in City Scenes detail intimate sonic moments in the daily life of the city, from the rhythmic hammering of construction workers and the dense hush of a library to the distant laughter of children playing and beyond.
City Transport contains recordings dedicated to the vehicles and machines of the city, from the clatter of train barriers and the wail of police sirens to the grind of bus engines and the omnipresent whooshing of planes overhead:
