Karoryfer releases free "String Cyborgs" instrument bundle for Plogue sforzando

Karoryfer Samples has released String Cyborgs - a free bundle of three synth-like instruments for the free Plogue sforzando platform.

The three instruments - Zinc, Blackheart and Ironface - use the processed and looped sounds of bowed strings as oscillators, and place them in a synthesizer architecture with unison, detune, filters and humanization parameters. The goal is to create more organic variations of classic analog synthesizer sounds, especially basses and strings.

• Noise oscillator based on bow screech samples with own envelope (Zinc and Blackheart).
• Blendable distorted version of samples (Ironface).

• All controls mapped to MIDI CC.
