MODWHEEL releases "The Strained Wire + Garotte" for Kontakt with Intro Offer

MODWHEEL has announced the release of The Strained Wire + Garotte for Kontakt with a special introductory price of
US$35 (usually $45) for the next 2 weeks.

Here's what they say:

"Like all composers/musicians we've often thought "what I really need now is the sound of a 4 metre length of strained wire, either plucked, bowed, hit with a mallet or fully tortured." This thought nagged away at the team at MODWHEEL until we finally felt compelled to act on it."

"After a good bit of research and development the MODWHEEL games and recreation room became a huge musical instrument and although our Ping Pong suffered, the resulting tones surpassed our wildest dreams."

The library has been broken up into 3 sections:

• Bowed-Plucked-Mallet:
  • 18 patches of single notes using different wires, gut and nylon line trimmer played with a bow and mallet, plucked and picked.
  • These have been laid out chromatically over 5 octaves.
• Garrotte:
  • 6 patches of tortured wire FX and impacts.
• Wilberforce Atmospheres:
  • 27 patches of long evolving pads and textures created from the original raw materials.
