Vienna Symphonic Library releases Solo Violin 2 and Solo Cello 2 Vienna Instruments

8th November 2016

For the first time in the history of the Vienna Symphonic Library, the Austrian sample library developer offers two instruments in the Strings category that are available individually. Both new products, Solo Violin 2 and Solo Cello 2 come as full-fledged Vienna Instruments and offer an alternative or addition to the instruments included in Vienna's Solo Strings I Collection. Both Solo Violin 2 and Solo Cello 2 are available at special introductory prices. Users of a Solo Strings I Full Library benefit from an additional special offer during the month of November, 2016.

Introductory Price and Special Offer

The introductory price of Solo Violin 2 and Solo Cello 2 is currently $145 each and will increase to $185 (regular list price) as of December 1, 2016. What's more, customers benefit from an additional offer during the introductory period in November 2016: Having registered a Solo Strings I Full Library, Solo Cello 2 will be free if purchased together with Solo Violin 2 through November 30, 2016. Users who haven't registered Solo Strings I Full Library yet may purchase the product (or the upgrade from the Standard Library to the Full Library) together with Solo Cello 2 and Solo Violin 2 in order to receive Solo Cello 2 for free.

All-New Recordings at Vienna's Silent Stage

Both instruments were recorded exclusively at Vienna's own "Silent Stage":

Both solo instruments provide an extensive range of articulations like the ones included in Vienna's Solo Strings I Collection. Playing techniques include Legato and Portamento Performances, sustains with and without vibrato as well as with progressive vibrato, medium and strong dynamics (crescendos & diminuendos) in various lengths, Staccato Repetitions in various speeds, Trill Performances in four intervals (from half-tone to major third), pizzicato, sfz, sffz, fp, pfp and many more.

Both new instruments are the perfect choice for registered users of a Solo Strings I Collection who are looking for two different timbres of the violin and the cello, e.g., for solo and chamber music instrumentations, such as in a string quartet.
