sonicLAB releases version 2.0 of VolBot Stochastic Audio Processor

sonicLAB has released version 2.0 of its VolBot stochastic audio processor.

VolBot is an advanced LFO with versatile modulation sources rendering complex amplitude sculpting on its audio input, which can distribute itself over multiple DAW tracks as 1server and its multiple clients.

VolBot v2 offers new interactive features benefiting its distributed server/client audio structure:

• VolBot v2 can extract the amplitude envelope from its input channels and use this as a GEN modulation source. Hence the VolBot server can share this data with the client instances directly.
• The VolBot v2 can process quad multichannel audio input, each channel with its independent super LFO. The user can bypass individual channels and the multichannel processing is especially interesting for disruptive ambisonic modulation leading to unusual spatialisation of the encoded ambisonic material.
• The VolBot v2 can also deliver unipolar / bipolar version of its output as raw audio for using it as a CV source to modular devices.
