2getheraudio releases SN4RE Drum VI for Mac & Win VST, AU & AAX

2getheraudio has released SN4RE Drum, a virtual instrument with a customized synth engine designed specifically for creating and delivering a large range of electronic snare drum sounds. Two interfaces, Simple and Expert, give producers a precision set of sound design controls for fast auditioning and simple to extensive editing.

Under the hood, SN4RE Drum uses a custom audio engine with specialized synth oscillators to generate the body of the snare drum and a noise and EQ circuit to handle the sound of the snare wires. Individual envelopes for pitch and amplitude shape the decay while customized drive and compression circuits dial in the punch. Effects, including bit crushing, decimation, and low pass and high pass filters deliver add to the wide range of sonic possibilities. A high quality convolution reverb is also included for added ambiance.

For those without the time or expertise to fine tune all these parameters, SN4RE Drum offers a Simple View which exposes just four sound control knobs, 4 effects buttons and 4 reverb options for quickly dialing in your sound. When needed, an Expert View takes you under the hood for finer control.
